The CelonPOWER System is the first bipolar and multipolar ablation system for minimally invasive tumour treatment using radiofrequency induced thermotherapy (RFITT). Treatment may be conducted either percutaneously or in the course of open surgery.
The main benefit of this patented bipolar technology is the restriction of radiofrequency current flow to the area being treated e.g. tumour, as a result of which undesirable side effects are avoided. In addition, neutral electrodes are not required which means simplification of the patient's preparation, reduced costs and increased safety.
